He specialises in coaching executives, and their teams and uses his OD consultancy skills and experience to enable businesses to improve customer satisfaction, bottom line performance, and improve employee engagement and satisfaction. He keeps ‘match fit’ by working as a board level interim executive across the UK.
Phil is a qualified and experienced executive and business coach and brings a broad range of board level experience and his strong record of achievement in organisational development, transformation and improvement to his offer. He has a keen interest in whole systems approaches to change.
Phil’s considerable experience covers a range of first and second tier councils, with most combinations of political leadership. He has senior operational experience of leading and managing all aspects of HR/OD, Transformation programmes, ICT, and Customer Services functions working at Board level.
Through his consulting, facilitation, and interim work he has developed practical experience having supported a range of public, private, and third sector organisations including – local authorities, police, fire and rescue, health, social care, and housing charities using a blend of coaching, facilitation and organisational development frameworks to support improved organisational performance.

Phil is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CFCIPD), and an Associate Member of Chartered Management Institute (AMCMI), an Associate of the Association for Coaching (AMAC), an NLP Practitioner, and an IEMT Practitioner.
He has studied Organisation Development at masters level, has a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive and Business Coaching, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Coach Psychology. He has a team coaching qualification from a programme co tutored by Professor David Clutterbuck.
As an experienced HR Director Phil also has experience of recruiting at Chief Executive level, and developing and running assessment and development centres. He is qualified to use MBTI, FIRO-B, Belbin, and holds a level 2 qualification for psychometric assessment through Saville and Holdsworth.
